For years, I have been trying to spot the sometimes-elusive seals on Sandy Hook. My curiosity began when we lived in Belmar, NJ due to all the 'seal watch' signs in Avon-by-the-Sea. I became sort of infatuated with these plump adorable creatures!
Yesterday due to sunshine and minimal winds, I was finally able to snap some shots of these magnificent animals!
After about an hour of watching them, they started to depart back into the water, and the put on an amazing show of jumping in and out of the water - which seemed very much like playtime to me.
